Chandigarh, August 22 - On the first day of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha session, condolence resolutions were read in honour of the great personalities, freedom fighters and martyred soldiers who passed away during the previous session and this session and heartfelt condolences were expressed to the bereaved families and members.
Chandigarh, August 22 - On the first day of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha session, condolence resolutions were read in honour of the great personalities, freedom fighters and martyred soldiers who passed away during the previous session and this session and heartfelt condolences were expressed to the bereaved families and members.
First of all, the Leader of the House, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, read the condolence resolutions. Apart from these, besides the Speaker Shri Harvinder Kalyan, Shri Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Shri Aditya Devi Lal paid tribute by reading the condolence resolutions on behalf of their parties. All the members of the House, officers, media persons and all the employees present in the House stood up and observed two minutes silence and also prayed for the peace of the departed souls.
Those whose condolence messages were read in the House included former Governors of Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, Goa, Odisha and Bihar, Mr. Satya Pal Malik, former member of Haryana Legislative Assembly, Mr. Inder Singh Nain, Mr. Hari Ram Valmiki and freedom fighter Mr. Mangal Singh of village Kosli in district Rewari.
The House also expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of 26 innocent lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. The House strongly condemned the terrorist attack and expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of the deceased.
Apart from this, the House also expressed deep grief over the untimely death of 260 people, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani, who died in the crash of an Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London on June 12, 2025.
The House also expressed grief over the death of 43 brave soldiers of Haryana who showed unparalleled courage and valor while protecting the unity and integrity of the motherland and made the supreme sacrifice.
