Hoshiarpur - Like every year, this year also Rotary's New Year was started by celebrating Annapurna Day. In which the newly appointed president of the club Rotarian Avtar Singh and Secretary Rotarian Amandeep Singh under the chairmanship of the club distributed 250 kg of ration which included 60 kg of dal, 30 kg of flour, 50 kg of salt, 50 kg of sugar and one tin of ghee. Guru Ram Das Langar service was given to Purhirs. The newly appointed president of the club, Avtar Singh ji, said that the main work of Rotary is to do social welfare work and help the needy people in every possible way. This year also he started the Rotary year with his new team by bowing down at the feet of his Guru. The club prayed at the Guru's feet. Avtar Singh said that the main objective of Rotary will be to work under 'Nar Seva Narayan Seva'. Club Rotarians Manoj Ohri, Inderpal Sachdeva, Jaswant Singh Bhogal, Ashok Sharma, Vikram Sharma, LN Verma, Gopal Vasudeva, Jagmeet Sethi, DP Kathuria, Joginder Singh etc. were present on this occasion.
