Garhshankar - Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana paid a surprise visit to CHC Benewal to take stock of the health facilities being provided to the patients. Civil Surgeon Dr. Balvinder Kumar checked the attendance of the staff posted on duty.
Patient records, stock of medicines and cleanliness were specially reviewed by them. They issued instructions to follow rules for disposal of bio medical waste. The Civil Surgeon asked the staff to maintain records of work and patients and behave well with patients. He asked to ensure the availability of essential medicines for the patients so that the patients do not face any kind of trouble and all necessary facilities provided by the government to the people can be provided.
He reviewed the health services provided under the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme and said that appropriate measures should be taken under the Ayushman scheme so that more patients admitted to the hospitals are covered under it and free and better services are provided to the patients. He said that the health department is committed to providing quality health facilities to the people.
