SAS Nagar, June 29 - Mohali Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain has said that spreading awareness for early detection of cancer is the need of the hour. Speaking as the chief guest during the function organized by Sri Guru Harkrishna Hospital, Sohana to celebrate the National Cancer Survivor Month, he said that in a cancer-affected state like Punjab, the need for awareness among the people is even greater. Meanwhile, the hospital honored the patients who recovered from cancer And recalling the faith and courage of cancer survivors in their fight against this serious disease, their boundless courage was informed. During this ceremony organized at Sohana Cancer Research Institute, a skit prepared by the nursing staff was presented for the cancer survivors and a ramp walk was also done by the cancer survivors showing their confidence. The Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, Mr. Anil Suri, said that along with this, the hospital conducted various activities highlighting the importance of early prevention and detection of cancer during the month of June.
