Patiala, June 25 - In action by the team of police station chief Yashpal Sharma, 2 persons were arrested and 25 grams of heroin was recovered from them. According to the information received from the police, after a tip-off, the police party including ASI Gurdev Singh police station Patdar conducted a raid near Sangrur-Patdar Highway T-Point Nyal Bypass. 2 persons started running after seeing the police party but the police party caught them.
They were identified as Hardeep Singh son of Surjit Singh and Surjit Singh son of Kartar Singh, residents of village Dugal Kalan. It has been claimed to have recovered 25 grams of heroin from their possession. The accused said that they bring this heroin from Haryana and sell it to the customers. A case has been registered against both of them under the NDPS Act at the police station Patadan. After producing the two accused in the court and obtaining police remand, further in-depth interrogation will be conducted.
