And people were made aware of the measures to be taken to protect against mosquitoes.

In the same way, today in Sunder Nagar, Pritam Nagar, Kachhe Quarter, Premgarh and other areas of Hoshiarpur city, anti-larvae teams visited the houses and conducted a dengue survey. Meanwhile, breeding checking, water drainage was checked and larvicide spray and IEC activities were carried out where mosquito larvae were found. Sharing information about this, Dr. Jagdeep Singh said that as soon as the rainy season begins, the number of vector-borne diseases such as dengue, malaria, chikungunya also starts to increase.
Therefore, under the campaign "Har Shukvar Dengu Te War" today, the anti-larvae wing of the health department and the multipurpose health workers from across the district during house-to-house visits, coolers, pots, items lying on the roofs, refrigerator trays, water containers for animals and birds. etc. the stagnant water was destroyed and asked to be kept completely dry so as to eliminate the larvae of these disease-carrying mosquitoes. Dr. Jagdeep said that 545 houses were knocked by the urban area teams today. And the 17 houses in which larvae were found were destroyed on the spot.
Dr. Jagdeep Singh said that the health workers have asked people to take care of cleanliness while making them aware to protect themselves from malaria and dengue disease. He urged the residents of the city to give full support to the teams of the health department conducting the survey and said that dengue disease can be avoided only by following the guidelines issued by the health department and observing every Friday as a dry day.
