
Annual Jod Mela was organized with great fanfare
Nawanshahr 06 June - The annual Jodh Mela was celebrated with great pomp at Banga Road Darbar Panj Peer. Giving information on this occasion, Darbar Gaddi Nashin Baba Mehtab Ahmed Qadri has said that on June 4, the Mehndi ceremony was performed and lamps were lit. At night, Bunty Kawal, Ishrat Ali, Sana Fateh Ali Khan, Abid Ali presented a program of Qawwalis.

Giving information on this occasion, Darbar Gaddi Nashin Baba Mehtab Ahmed Qadri has said that on June 4, the Mehndi ceremony was performed and lamps were lit. At night, Bunty Kawal, Ishrat Ali, Sana Fateh Ali Khan, Abid Ali presented a program of Qawwalis. On the second day of the fair, the flag ceremony was performed in the morning. The Chadar ceremony was performed by ADGP Sanjeev Kalra, Darbar chief Baba Mehtab Ahmed Qadri and saints and fakirs from various camps. After this, Punjab's famous artist and singer Amit Anwar sang the song Mela Peera Da Shraddha Naal Manaiye, Gonsapak De Mandey Jihde, Mahesh Sajan Ne Sada Rab Tu Sajjan, Rang Murshad Da Chadiya, Panj Peer Ki Kripa Hogi' and forced the crowd to dance with joy. After this, Mani Gill made his presence felt by singing Allah Karta Ni Fakir Turya Aave and by singing Sultana Noora Walo Allah Hoon Da Aawaza Aave, Fakkaran Di Kuli Beech Rab Vasda, he made the Fakirs dance in joy. Kulraj Muhammad Razi and Deepa Miuwal played the role of stage manager. Saints and Fakirs from various camps were present to bless the congregation. These included Varun Sobti, Bibi Baljit Kor Qadri, Kuku Bhagat, Mahendra Sai, Sant Satnam Das, Monica Deva, Narinder Rathore, Jaswinder Kumar, Mahendra Pal, Gurmel Singh, Ghulam Pamme Shah, Baba Pyara, Baba Jaswinder Shah, Baba Jeet Shah, etc. Baba Mahtab honoured the congregation and guests with Siropes. Langar continued uninterrupted on both days of the fair.
