Mahilpur- Chabbewal assembly constituency MLA Dr. Ishank visited village Data-Chela, where a terrible fire broke out last night, causing huge damage. The fire badly affected the land and livestock. However, fortunately, there was no loss of life. Dr. Ishank reached the spot and met the victim's family and inspected the scene of the incident. 
He praised the promptness of the fire department and said that if the fire brigade vehicles had not reached on time, the damage could have been even worse. The fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire in difficult circumstances and saved many families from potential danger. 
Due to the fire, a lot of the household goods were burnt to ashes. Along with this, many livestock were also burnt, which has caused huge financial loss. Locals said that the fire could have been caused by a short circuit or lightning, but this can only be confirmed after an administrative inquiry. 
Dr. Ishank directed the administrative officials present at the spot to expedite relief and rehabilitation works. Assuring all possible help to the victims, he said, "The state government is with the victims. I will personally ensure that the affected families get compensation and other necessary help at the earliest." 
He appealed to the people to maintain restraint and avoid any kind of rumours. He also said that security measures will be strengthened in the area so that such incidents do not happen again in future. The visit proved to be a ray of hope for the villagers and the people thanked MLA Dr. Ishank.
