Additional CEO Punjab Harish Nair inspected counting centers and strong room along with Deputy Commissioner

Hoshiarpur - Additional CEO Punjab Harish Nayar along with Deputy Commissioner-cum-Returning Officer Lok Sabha Constituency Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal today inspected the counting centers and strong room set up at Riyat-Bahra Group of Institutes Hoshiarpur. Meanwhile, he gave necessary guidelines to the officials regarding the complete security of the voting machines

Hoshiarpur - Additional CEO Punjab Harish Nayar along with Deputy Commissioner-cum-Returning Officer Lok Sabha Constituency Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal today inspected the counting centers and strong room set up at Riyat-Bahra Group of Institutes Hoshiarpur. Meanwhile, he gave necessary guidelines to the officials regarding the complete security of the voting machines and the counting of votes in a transparent manner on the day of counting of votes. Apart from this, he inspected the counting tables, barricading, security, media center, parking, washrooms and other arrangements being installed. He said that under the Lok Sabha Elections-2024, polling will be held in the entire state on June 1 and the counting of votes will be held on June 4, 2024. The Deputy Commissioner said that counting centers have been set up at two places for the counting of votes of different Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha Constituency. He said that the counting of assembly constituencies Hoshiarpur, Mukerian, Dasuha, Urmur, Chabewal, Bhulath and Phagwara will be held at Riyat-Bahra Group of Institute Hoshiarpur. While the counting of assembly constituencies Sri Hargobindpur and Shamchurasi will be held at Multi Skill Development Center, ITI Hoshiarpur. On this occasion, SDM Hoshiarpur-cum-ARO Hoshiarpur Preetinder Singh Bains, Tehsildar Elections Sarabjit Singh, Naib Tehsildar Vijay Kumar, Naib Tehsildar Harshveer Goyal, Election Kanugo Deepak Kumar and Harpreet Kaur and other officials were also present.
