Hoshiarpur- Labor Party President Jai Gopal Dhiman heard the problems of the people regarding the supply of drinking water mixed with sewerage to the residents of Ward No. 42, Mohalla Kamalpur of the city for the last 1 month and strongly condemned the Municipal Corporation officials. And said that the development of the city is seen only on flex, in reality the common people are its victims.
People told Dhiman that they are facing the brunt of pollution for about 1 month and are drinking drinking water by buying it from the market and despite complaining many times, no attention is being paid. He said that dirty smelly water of sewerage is entering the houses by mixing with drinking water and the health of common people and their children is being adversely affected. Now the situation is such that dirty water filled with bacteria can also be seen in the drinking water tanks in the city.
Dhiman said that such a big negligence in the city can never give rise to any epidemic. Neither cleanliness nor drinking water supply is being paid attention to in the city. Seeing the situation, Dhiman immediately sent an email to the Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur and lodged a complaint, demanding that action be taken against the responsible municipal corporation officials and concrete efforts be made to start the supply of clean drinking water to the residents of the locality.
He also contacted the Chief Secretary of Punjab and demanded justice. He appealed to the city residents to become aware and cooperate in providing clean and pure water. Rajesh Kumar, Maldeep Singh, Nitesh Kumar, Kartik, Harman, Jatin, Jaspreet Kaur and Hardeep Kaur were also present on this occasion.
