Bahujan Samaj Party has made its state president Jasbir Singh Garhi a candidate from the Lok Sabha constituency Sri Anandpur Sahib and he is campaigning loudly.

Born on 3 November 1979 in village Garhi (Kanungoa) near Balachaur, Jasbir Singh received his primary education from the village and then did his MA in Public Administration and worked as a Sanitary Inspector in the Animal Husbandry Department. Mr. Garhi states that he worked for a total of more than 18 years. He says that even during his job, he used to work to improve the condition of the poor, needy and downtrodden people, and the desire to serve these classes brought him from his job to politics. He says it was Jajba who drove him into active politics before completing the 20 years of service required for pension and he resigned from the job. He joined the Bahujan Samaj Party and party supremo sister Mayawati made him the president of the Bahujan Samaj Party Punjab.

Apart from being active in politics, he has also been a prominent writer and sportsman and his two books Begampure Da Chnemsaaj Shri Guru Ravidas Ji and Satgur Kabir Ji have also been published. Mr. Jasbir Singh Garhi says that he has studied Sikhism, Hinduism and Buddhism a lot and he is very much influenced by the thought of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and Phule Shahu and the welfare of the downtrodden sections of the society is his main concern. is the goal

Regarding Anandpur Sahib Constituency, they are of the opinion that this constituency is still very backward and a lot of work needs to be done in this constituency. He said that a lot of work needs to be done to provide basic health and education facilities to the people in the constituency and this work can only be done at the central level. Similarly, four lane roads should be constructed to connect major cities. He said that villages living on the banks of rivers, ghar areas and remote areas are backward even after 70 years of independence of the country.

They say that Garshankar, Banga, Khuralgarh Sahib, Mojowal and Anandpur Sahib Marg should be made 4-lane, medical college in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, passport office in Nawan Shahr, development of ghar area, problems of bet area and stray cattle. Taking action to solve the problem, providing necessary facilities to farmers and rural residents, all-round development of the entire constituency, providing higher education facilities for poor students and establishing employment based industries are their main goals towards the development of the constituency. Along with this, they also aim to establish memorials of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Bibi Harsharan Kaur, Babu Kashiram, Babu Manguram Mongolia, Giani Ditt Singh and Shiromani Shaheed Baba Jeevan Singh and Sangat Singh. He says that being a student of public administration, he understands very closely how administration is meant to benefit the people.

Mr. Garhi says that he is getting a great response from the people of the constituency. People understand that he will give priority to the development of the constituency as he is the leader of the constituency. He said that Bahujan Samaj Party is in a strong position due to multi-cornered competition this time. He said that he is being supported by various institutions, organizations and social organizations of the constituency.

When asked about the breakdown of the agreement with the Shiromani Akali Dal, Jasbir Singh Gari said that the Shiromani Akali Dal was standing in two shackles and due to their duplicity, the agreement has been broken. Gari said that he had told the Akali Dal in January itself that the seats should be distributed regarding the Lok Sabha elections, but this agreement has been broken due to their looking elsewhere.
