
Punjab Mandi Board's annual budget of Rs 1920 crore passed
Mohali, 28 February 2025- A meeting of the Board of Directors was held today under the leadership of Punjab Mandi Board Chairman S. Harchand Singh Barsat. In which various agendas related to the Punjab Mandi Board were discussed in detail and the annual budget of Rs 1920 crore for the year 2025-26 was passed.

Secretary Punjab Mandi Board, Dr. Sukhpal Singh Chairman Farmers Commission Punjab, Inderjit Singh, Balwinder Singh, Balkar Bhokhra, Sukhwinder Singh, Satnam Kaur Deputy Secretary Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Jasminder Singh Deputy Secretary, Tarlochan Singh Assistant Director Horticulture Department Punjab, Beant Singh Assistant Marketing Officer Agriculture Department Punjab, Jatinderpal Singh Joint Registrar Co-operative Societies Punjab, Jatinder Mohan Singh Director AERC-cum-Chief Economics Studies Department Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, Manjit Singh Sandhu Deputy Director Habitation Department Punjab, Mangal Das Joint Director Food and Civil Supplies Department Punjab were present. On this occasion, it was decided to pass important agendas related to Mandi Board and implement them as soon as possible and the decisions taken in the last Board of Directors meeting were also discussed in detail. Efforts being made to increase the income of Punjab Mandi Board were discussed in detail. Barsat said that special schemes have been made to increase the income of the Mandi Board, which are being completed as soon as possible. Under this, ATMs and unipoles are being installed in various Mandis of the state. Recently ATMs have been inaugurated in Sabzi Mandi Patiala and Samana Mandi. He said that work is being done under the scheme of leasing out petrol pump sites in various Mandis and cleanliness drive is also being run in the Mandis of the state. These works were appreciated by the group members.
