Nawanshahr - Punjab Sahitya Sabha Raji Nawanshahr has expressed its grief over the sudden demise of Padma Shri Surjit Patar. On this occasion, the President of the Sabha Gurcharan Badhan and the District President of the Central Punjabi Writers' Sabha Sekhon Des Raj Bali said that the Punjabi literary world has suffered a great loss with the passing away of Surjit Patar.
On this occasion, a two-minute silence was also observed to pay tribute to Surjit Patar and prayed for his soul's peace. Gurcharan Badhan Pradhan, Tarsem Saki, Darshan Dardi, Des Raj Bali, Omkar Mahindipuri, etc. were present among the mourners.
