Patiala, May 13 - Under the leadership of Akali Dal's Patiala urban circle in-charge Amarinder Singh Bajaj and former MC Sukhbir Singh Ablowal, a rally was organized in favor of party candidate NK Sharma in Ablowal.
Addressing this rally, NK Sharma said that he will always be indebted to the people for giving so much love and respect to the Sangat. He said that he is contesting this election only on the basis of character and work. He said that on one hand, his performance as Sarpanch, Chairman of Municipal Council, Chairman of District Planning Board and two-time MLA is in front of the people. He said that everything is in the hands of the people including making Mohali a municipal corporation, making it an IT city, medical and other modern large scale investments and building an airport. He said that on the other hand my opponents have nothing to show. BJP candidate Preneet Kaur has been a four-time MP, but she did not bring even a single big project for the Patiala Lok Sabha constituency.
Similarly, Dr. Gandhi remained an MP and he too could not do anything big for Patiala. The third candidate, Dr. Balbir Singh himself is the Health Minister, but he has not laid even a single brick in the institutions of the Health Department. On the contrary, he indulged in drama by inviting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann to inaugurate a ward of Mata Kaushalya Hospital, which was built decades ago. He said that Akali Dal is contesting the elections this time on the basis of its achievements. He said that Akali Dal is the only regional party which belongs to Punjab while other parties are Delhi based parties whose aim is only to loot Punjab and ruin Punjab.
On this occasion, among others, former president Indramohan Singh Bajaj, Kabir Das Halka in-charge Shutrana, city president Amit Rathi, Ishar Singh Ablowal, Ajmer Singh Pradhan, Chalminder Singh Sethi, Jagmohan Singh Naulakha, Davinder Kumar Happy, Sham Singh Ablowal, Manju Qureshi, Krishan Singh, Manjeet Singh Arnon, Parminder Shourie, Jaswinderpal Singh Chaddha, Hira Mani Pradhan, Bajinder Chauhan, Iqbal Mohammad, Sohan Singh New Ablowal, Mangat Ram and Jarnail Singh were also present.
