On this occasion, the Labor Officer and District Child Protection Officer told the shopkeepers and hotel and dhaba owners present that making children between 0 to 18 years of age work is a crime. Therefore, children below the age of 18 years should not be made to work and if any small child is found working, then information about it should be given to the District Child Protection Unit and Child Welfare Committee so that action can be taken keeping in mind the welfare of the child and his safety can be ensured.
On this occasion, the District Child Protection Officer told the shopkeepers and the general public that instead of making the children work, they and their parents should be counseled so that instead of making the children work, the parents of the children should send them to school and connect them with education and make their future bright.
