
114 people donate blood at Brahma Kumaris Mohali camp
Mohali, August 23: The Brahma Kumaris organization today organized a mega blood donation camp at Sukh Shanti Bhawan Phase 7 in Mohali in which 114 units of blood were donated. A special feature of the blood donation camp was that followers of Hindu, Muslim and Sikh religions donated blood together and Brahma Kumaris and Brahma Kumaris participated in it enthusiastically.

The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Punjab Health Secretary Dr. Basant Garg IAS, Brahmakumari Premlata Mohali-Ropar Rajyoga Kendras In-charge, Punjab Forester Shri Vishal Chauhan IFS, Brahmakumari Dr. Rama Mohali-Ropar Rajyoga Kendras Co-In-charge, officials of Inner Wheel Club and Lions Club, Shri Gurcharan Singh Sran and BK Namrata, BK Anju etc. by lighting 25 lamps and thousands of people also paid tribute to Dadi Prakashmani on her 18th death anniversary. Expressing his views after inaugurating the blood donation camp, Punjab Health Department Secretary Dr. Basant Garg praised the sacrifice, penance and service of the Brahmakumari organization and said that this organization is doing a great social service through 6000 service centers. Donating blood is not only a donation but also a social service through which the life of an injured or other needy person can be saved. Dr. Basant Garg also donated blood herself.
Brahmakumari Mohali-Ropar Rajyoga Kendras In-charge Brahmakumari Premlata Bhain Ji, who was conducting the blood donation camp, said that this camp is being organized on the 18th death anniversary of Rajyogini Dr. Dadi Prakashmani Ji, former administrative head of the Brahmakumari Sanstha. Every year the organization celebrates it as World Community Day, but this year on the occasion of her death anniversary, a massive blood donation campaign has been organized at all Rajyoga Kendras in India and Nepal, which will run from August 22 to 25.
Dadi Ji worked to spread the spiritual message to every section of the society and in the country and abroad. She said that the target was to collect 100 units of blood in the Mohali circle, but due to the great enthusiasm of the brothers and sisters of Brahmakumaris and blood donors, 114 units of blood have been donated.
Co-in-charge of Mohali-Ropar Rajyoga Kendras, Brahmakumari Dr. Rama Bhain Ji said that this massive blood donation campaign has been started with the aim of fulfilling the blood needs of the injured, women and other people and creating a Guinness World Record, in which Inner Wheel Club, Lion Club and local blood donors have participated enthusiastically. All the blood donors were honored with certificates by Brahmakumaris, PGI and Rotary Club and refreshments were also served to them.
