Hangzhou (China) - Navneet Kaur and Mumtaz Khan scored hat-tricks as the Indian women's hockey team defeated Singapore 12-0 in a Pool B match of the Asia Cup here on Monday.

During the match, Navneet and Mumtaz Khan scored three goals, Neha scored two goals, while Neha, Lalremsiami, Sharmila Devi and Rutuja Pisal also scored for India. The world's 10th ranked team had defeated Thailand 11-0 in its first match as well, while last week it ended in a 2-2 draw with defending champions Japan.
The Singapore team is ranked 34th in the world rankings. Eight teams are participating in this tournament and the top two teams from both the pools will qualify for the Super-4s stage. The top two teams in the Super 4s will play in the final to be held on September 14. The winning teams of the Asia Cup will qualify for the 2026 Women's World Cup to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands.
