Nawanshahr, September 25 – Three of the new Agricultural Extension Officers recruited by the Punjab Government have been posted in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district. They have been posted in Nawanshahr, Aur and Balachaur.
Chief Agricultural Officer Dr. Rakesh Sharma said that with the arrival of the new officers, the office work will not only get strength but also the activities related to farmers and various schemes and programs of the department will be implemented more effectively. He said that the three officers, who have higher education in agriculture, have taken up their posts and started their services.
Agricultural Extension Officer Gurpreet Singh, who is a resident of Garhshankar, has done his M.Sc. from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. On assuming his post, Gurpreet Singh said that he will perform his services with full loyalty and dedication and will implement the programs issued by the department from time to time with full dedication.
Agricultural Extension Officer Monika posted at Aur said that she will discharge her responsibility with full honesty and expertise. She said that no stone will be left unturned in the necessary expansion of the agricultural sector and in providing information to the farmers so that maximum benefits of the farmer welfare schemes in the area can be reached to the farmers.
Agricultural Extension Officer Jagmandeep Kaur posted at Balachaur said that the farmers will be equipped with information about new technologies in the agricultural sector so that they can become abreast of the times. She said that her priority will be to easily convey the daily information for modern agriculture to the farmers. Family members of the new officers and the staff of the department were also present on the occasion.
