They stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a significant gift by exempting customers from GST during the festive season, benefiting both customers and traders. Shopkeepers also informed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini that customers are personally coming to discuss this GST exemption.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking to the media. He said that the Prime Minister fulfills what he promises. In his address from the Red Fort on August 15th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced major GST relief for the general public, traders, the poor, and industrialists ahead of the festive season.
Pursuing this announcement, within a month, the GST Council met to decide on GST reforms. Now, the 12% and 28% GST rates have been abolished, leaving only two slabs: 5% and 18%. The public is directly benefiting from this change.
The Chief Minister said that this decision has brought joy to homes during the festive season and has provided significant relief to the common man from inflation. He said that the country is progressing rapidly under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, and today India's name is being taken with pride around the world.
Many dignitaries, including Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand and BJP District President Praveen Lathar, were present on the occasion.
