Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 21: District Planning Committee Chairperson Eng. Prabhjot Kaur issued a grant of Rs 5 lakh from her discretionary fund for the open gym in village Thaska of Mohali and gave a sanction letter to start the work.
Chairperson Smt. Prabhjot Kaur informed that the District Planning Committee has released a grant of Rs 5 lakh for Gram Panchayat Thakars under the “Untied Fund of District Planning Committees/District Special Schemes”.
She said that the Punjab Government is providing good financial assistance through various schemes to complete the development works of the villages at the fastest pace. Under this, the grant released to the Gram Panchayat Thakars will be spent on the development works of the village.
Chairperson Prabhjot Kaur said that the main objective of the Punjab government is to provide modern facilities to the people of the villages and ensure the all-round development of the villages. She said that these schemes of the government have been prepared keeping in mind the needs of the people.
At this time, Block President Rajesh Rana, Sarpanch Mehma Singh, Surinder Singh Mataur, Advocate Amarjit Singh, Surmukh Singh and respected persons of the village were present.
