Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh National Marathon Postponed - Jai Krishan Singh Raudi.

Garhshankar September 15:- In view of the serious situation caused by the floods in Punjab, Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Sardar Jai Krishan Singh Raudi has announced the postponement of the Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh National Marathon to be held at Mahilpur (Hoshiarpur district) on September 27, 2025.

Garhshankar September 15:- In view of the serious situation caused by the floods in Punjab, Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Sardar Jai Krishan Singh Raudi has announced the postponement of the Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh National Marathon to be held at Mahilpur (Hoshiarpur district) on September 27, 2025.
The Deputy Speaker said that this marathon was an important part of the campaign launched by the Punjab government to keep the youth away from drugs, connect them with sports and strengthen the spirit of patriotism in them. He said that this was an effort to show the way through sports to make the youth healthy, fit and prosperous under the vision of Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann.
However, due to the current floods, heavy loss of life and property has been caused in many districts of Punjab. In such a situation, there is a need to share the pain and suffering of the people and stand shoulder to shoulder with them.
Sardar Raudi clarified that the marathon has only been postponed, not cancelled. As soon as the situation improves, the new date of this marathon will be announced soon. He said that the Punjab government stands with the people of Punjab at all times and is fully committed to helping the families affected by the floods.
