Patiala- A literary programme was organised by Gyandeep Sahitya Sadhna Manch (Regd.) Patiala in the seminar hall of the Department of Languages. The programme was presided over by the Manch's President Dr. G.S. Anand and the chief guest was Dr. Gursewak Lambi, Associate Professor, Punjabi University, Patiala. Along with him, Sukhminder Sekhon, Lal Mistri, Kulwant Singh Narike, Dr. Santokh Sukhi and Rajbir Singh Malhi also joined the presidium.
Speaking about the programme, Dr. Gursewak Lambi said that if the poet has to understand the sound of the word, he has to be a creator as well as a serious reader. Delivering the presidential address, Dr. G.S. Anand said that today's man has to come out of the destructive mindset of wars for the betterment of humanity.
Conducting the programme, Balbir Jalalabadi invited poets for poetry recitation. Famous poets of contemporary literature include Parwinder Shokh Gurcharan Pabrali, Kulwant Saidoke, Bachan Singh Gurm, Gurcharan Singh Chan Patialvi, Tarlochan Mir, Gurdarshan Singh Gusil, Dr. Gurvinder Aman, Avtarjit Atwal, Darshan Singh Darsh Pasiyana, Navdeep Mundi, Vijay Kumar, Kuldeep Kaur Dhanju, Satnam Kaur Chauhan, Jaswinder Kaur, Sukhwinder Chahal, Sukhwinder Kafer, Trilok Dhillon, Kulwinder Bahadurgarh, Balbir Singh. Apart from Dildar, Kirpal Moonak, Satnam Singh Mattoo, Balwant Balli, Jagga Ranguwal, Sarup Singh Chaudhary Majra, Kuldeep Jodhpuri, Hari Singh Chamkam, Inderpal Singh, Krishna Dhiman, Gurmel Singh, Joga Singh Dhanaula, Harish Patialvi, Manmohan Singh Nabha, Raghbir Mehmi, Dhanna Singh Kharoud, Joga Singh, Gurmukh Singh Jagi, Rajeshwar Kumar, Hardeep Singh, Charanjit Kaur, Chamkaur Singh, Amarjit Singh, Charan Singh and Mukesh were also present.
