Una, 22 March:- Emphasis is being laid on motivating young voters to vote in the elections through sweep programs in Una district with the message of 'Celebration of elections, pride of the country'.
As per the instructions of District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, voter awareness programs are being organized in all the sub-divisions of the district. In this sequence, on Friday, the youth studying in Swami Vivekananda Memorial Library in Gagret were made aware about the importance of voting. SDM Gagret Saumil Gautam motivated them to vote. He urged that if any youth who will be 18 years of age or above on April 1, 2024 has not yet got their vote done, then they should definitely get their vote done. Registration in the voter list can be done till May 4.
On this occasion, the youth expressed their commitment to contribute to strengthening democracy by voting by signing the voter signature wall.
Apart from this, different departments organized programs in different areas of the district to motivate and make voters of all age groups including youth motivated and aware to vote by giving messages like 'Voting is not a right, it is a duty' and 'No voter should be left out from voting'. . Apart from this, every voter is being motivated to participate in the voting process by getting signatures on the voter signature wall at important places in the district.

Meanwhile, District Election Officer Jatin Lal stressed the importance of voting and said that every vote is valuable in building a strong democracy. He appealed to the youth to participate enthusiastically in the election festival and by voting, feel proud of their participation in building a strong democracy.
