Chandigarh, July 31 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the penance, sacrifice and courage of the great revolutionary Shaheed Udham Singh will always inspire us. He had killed General Dyer, the murderer of unarmed people in Jallianwala Bagh, by going abroad. Who is still an inspiration for the entire country and will always inspire service to the country.

Chandigarh, July 31 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the penance, sacrifice and courage of the great revolutionary Shaheed Udham Singh will always inspire us. He had killed General Dyer, the murderer of unarmed people in Jallianwala Bagh, by going abroad. Who is still an inspiration for the entire country and will always inspire service to the country.
Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini was addressing a public meeting organized in Sunam, the birthplace of Shaheed Udham Singh in Punjab, on Thursday.
Earlier, Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini went to the Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial and offered flowers in front of his statue. He also planted a sapling here. After this, the Chief Minister visited the Shaheed Udham Singh Museum and recorded his thoughts in the tour book after seeing the memories related to Shaheed Udham Singh, his photographs and his letters.
After this, Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini met the family members of Shaheed Udham Singh under the leadership of Sardar Hardial Singh. The family members also submitted a memorandum regarding their demands to the Chief Minister of Haryana.

Addressed the public meeting-
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini reached the public meeting organized by BJP leader and Punjab State Secretary Daman Bajwa on Sangrur Road. During this, the Chief Minister was given a warm welcome by the Punjab BJP leaders. Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said in his address that he has got the opportunity to come to the birthplace of Shaheed Udham Singh and pay homage to him.
When people had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh for the Baisakhi festival, General Dyer had ordered all the roads to be closed and firing on unarmed people had killed thousands of people.
At that time, Sardar Udham Singh had made a resolution by placing the soil of the country on his forehead that he would not sit still until he put General Dyer to death. After this heart-wrenching incident of April 13, 1919, on April 13, 1940, he went to the land of the British and shot General Dyer to death, taking revenge for the murder of those thousands of unarmed people and sacrificing himself for this country.
The revolutionary hero Sardar Udham Singh did penance for a long time and then took his revenge. Which is the result of his courage, his penance and sacrifice. Their great penance, their courage and their sacrifice will always inspire us.
The Chief Minister said that for the independent India we are living in today, countless great revolutionaries like Udham Singh, Bhagat Singh sacrificed their lives and forced the British to leave India. We did not get independence just like that. For this, great sacrifices had to be made.
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's resolve is that India should become the India of the dreams of the martyrs. The dream that our revolutionaries had seen should become the India of their dreams. For this, we all have to work together. We have to take the country in the direction that the revolutionaries had seen for independent India.
On this occasion, senior leaders of Punjab BJP and members of various organizations from Sunam honored Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini by giving him a memento.
During the program, the family members of Shaheed Udham Singh including Sardar Hardial Singh, Aman Punjab's acting state president Ashwini Sharma, senior BJP leader and MLA Arvind Khanna, General Secretary Dayal Sodhi, State Secretary and Organizer Daman Bajwa, District Sunam President Amritraj Chatha and many others were present.

The Punjab government has not fulfilled the promises made to the people - Chief Minister
Talking to reporters after the ceremony, Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that today it is a matter of pride for him that the great revolutionary Shaheed Udham Singh has got the opportunity to pay homage to his birthplace and meet his family members. 
After 21 years of waiting, he made the supreme sacrifice for the country by killing General Dyer, the accused of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. In response to a question, he targeted the Punjab government and said that the government here has not fulfilled the promises made to the people of Punjab. People are now waiting. 
They only showed the people here vegetable gardens. The Chief Minister said that just as they were shown vegetable gardens in Delhi, the people of Delhi have understood. The people of Punjab have also understood them now.
