Langar committees and social organizations should cooperate with the district administration for the smooth organization of Mata Chintapurni fair: Brahm Shankar Jimpa.

Hoshiarpur- MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa held a meeting with administrative officers, langar committees and representatives of social organizations at the district administrative complex today regarding the arrangements for the Mata Chintapurni fair starting from July 25. During this, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar Malik and Mayor Surinder Kumar were also present with him.

Addressing the meeting, MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa directed all the departments to make the arrangements of the fair smooth. He said that there should not be any kind of deficiency in the preparations of the fair by the administration. He said that the arrangements for the fair of Mata Chintapurni cannot run smoothly without the cooperation of langar committees and social organizations. Therefore, there is a special need for the cooperation of langar committees and social organizations.
Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the district administration is doing commendable work to make the langars free from single-use plastic during the fair. He said that in the fair, the district administration, with the help of Municipal Corporation and Pollution Control Board, will provide environment friendly plates, glasses and spoons worth about Rs 5 lakh to those langar committees, which are unknowingly using single use plastic. He appealed to all the langar committees not to use single use plastic.
The MLA said that while making arrangements for langar in Mata Chintapurni fair, it should also be ensured that cleanliness is maintained so that the environment is not polluted. He said that mutual coordination between the district administration and the institutions is very important so that the fair can be organized successfully with joint efforts. He also appealed that for smooth traffic, the institutions should not come on the road and distribute langar. He directed the officials of the Public Works Department and Municipal Corporation to immediately fill the potholes on the roads going to Mata Chintapurni so that the devotees do not have to face any kind of trouble.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the langar committees and said that some preparations have been made by the district administration to make the system smooth, in which the cooperation of the langar committees is very important. He said that the langar committees must apply to the SDM office for the arrangement of langar and loudspeakers so that the administration can know which committee has arranged langar where. By doing this, in case of traffic problem or any other problem, the concerned officer will be able to contact the langar committee directly.
He also appealed to the devotees not to come in heavy vehicles. SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik said that the langar committees should cooperate in making the traffic system smooth. He said that the officers and employees of the district police will be deployed 24 hours on Chintpurni Road, so that the devotees do not have to face any kind of problem. He said that work will be done in coordination with the langar committees regarding traffic and security.
Mayor Surinder Kumar said that the Municipal Corporation will leave no stone unturned regarding the cleanliness system. The potholes on the roads under the fire brigade and the corporation will also be filled immediately. On this occasion, ADC (Development) Nikas Kumar, ADC (J) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, Assistant Commissioner Oshi Mandal, SP Dr. Mukesh Kumar, SP Navneet Kaur Gill, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur, RTO Amandeep Kaur Ghuman, DSP Palwinder Singh, Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sandeep Tiwari, besides representatives of langar committees and social organizations Krishna Gopal Anand, Bharat Bhushan Verma, Anit Nair, Sandeep Sharma, Pramod Sharma, Ashwani Sharma and officers of various departments, representatives of social organizations and langar committees were also present.
