Hoshiarpur - Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Komal Mittal said that the Election Commission of India has issued a revised program for the special correction of voter lists based on the eligibility date of January 1, 2024.
He said that claims and objections have been received up to 9 December 2023 after the initial publication of voter lists. He said that the settlement of claims and objections, which was earlier to be done by December 26, 2023, will now be done by January 12, 2024 under the revised programme. And the final publication of electoral rolls will now be done on January 22, 2024 instead of January 5, 2024.
