Patiala, October 26 - Taking serious note of the mistreatment of senior photojournalist Ajay Sharma by farmers' leaders in village Bibipur, the entire journalist community of Patiala has complained to SSP Dr. Nanak Singh has demanded strict action against the culprits and has also decided that if the farmers' organizations do not stop misbehaving with journalists, then the coverage of the farmers' organizations will be boycotted by the media in the entire Punjab.

Community leaders told the SSP that last night some so-called farmer leaders surrounded photojournalist Ajay Sharma, took away his camera and mobile phone and threatened to kill the family and kept him hostage. When fellow journalists and other officers were involved in the case, they returned the camera and mobile phones but started threatening again this morning. The spokesperson of the journalists clarified that if the farmers' leaders do not stop misbehaving with the journalists, then a complete boycott of the media coverage of the farming community will be conducted in the entire Punjab. He said that if the farmer leaders do not change their attitude, it will have serious consequences. 
On this occasion DPRO Bhupesh Chatha, Ajay Sharma, Sarabjit Singh Bhangu, Baljinder Sharma, Navdeep Dhingra, Gurpreet Singh Chatha, Parmeet Singh, Gurvinder Aulakh, Ajay Sharma, Sundar Sharma, Anu Albert, Deepak Maudgill, Prem Verma, Gaurav Sood, Sanjay Verma, Munish Kaushal, Sandy Walia, Baljit Sarna, Paramjit Singh Sodhi, Kanwaljit Kamboj, Jaswinder Julka, Suresh Kamra, Ashutosh, Jaspreet Singh, Paramjit Singh Lali, Jaswinder Virdi, Jitinder Grover, Kulwinder Singh Ghuman and other dignitaries were present in large numbers.
