He said that according to the decision of the Punjab Employees and Pensioners Joint Front, they decided to form district committees and hold full-day sit-ins in front of the houses of ministers and MLAs in January. In the meeting, the Pensioners' Joint Front decided to hold a state-level massive rally in February against the stubborn attitude of the Punjab government and the Lara Lappa Lau policy.

On this occasion, it was demanded from the Punjab government that the dearness allowance due to the pensioners of the employees of Punjab should be increased from 34 percent to 46 percent on the pattern of the center, and the old pension should be restored on the pattern of 1972. According to the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission, a multiplier of 2.59 should be applied to the pensioners on a notional basis, the balance due from January 2016 to June 30, 2021 should be paid in lump sum and dearness allowance due for 210 months should also be paid by July 2023. be issued
