Civil Defense and First Aid Training Started in Collaboration with Red Cross and Home Guard.

Hoshiarpur- In view of the current situation between India and Pakistan, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, Red Cross Society Hoshiarpur successfully organized two camps for Civil Defense and First Aid Training in collaboration with Home Guards and Fire Fighters.

These camps were organized at DAV College of Education Hoshiarpur and Cambridge International School Dasuha in which about 400 students were given Civil Defense training. MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa specially attended the camp organized at DAV College of Education Hoshiarpur and encouraged the volunteers.
He appealed to the people of Hoshiarpur to come forward to repay the soil debt of the country and stand shoulder to shoulder with our brave soldiers. Appreciating such initiatives being taken by the district administration, he said that the main objective of these training camps is to empower the local community, especially the youth, with the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively in crisis situations.
Secretary Red Cross Mangesh Sood said on the occasion that these training sessions were led by First Aid Training Supervisor Sanjeevan Singh from Red Cross Hoshiarpur and Commandant Training Supervisor Kulwinder Singh from Home Guard. Students of B.Ed College and school students of Cambridge International School Dasuha participated enthusiastically in the camps. He said that the Red Cross Society plans to continue organizing such training programs in collaboration with Hoshiarpur Home Guards and other stakeholders.
These efforts will focus on increasing the reach and impact of Civil Defence and First Aid training across the district. The participants expressed their gratitude for the valuable insights and practical skills they gained during the training. Mayor Surinder Kumar, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, Tehsildar Larsen, social worker Agya Pal Singh Sahni, and leaders of various social service organizations were present on the occasion.
