
5,291 farmers benefited under the State Agricultural Mechanization Program
Una, August 20- Under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is continuously taking concrete steps to make farming easy, modern and profitable. In this episode, modern agricultural equipment is being made available under the State Agricultural Mechanization Scheme with the aim of connecting farmers with advanced agricultural techniques. This initiative is changing the methods of traditional farming, increasing production capacity and reducing the hard work of farmers.
Una, August 20- Under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is continuously taking concrete steps to make farming easy, modern and profitable. In this episode, modern agricultural equipment is being made available under the State Agricultural Mechanization Scheme with the aim of connecting farmers with advanced agricultural techniques. This initiative is changing the methods of traditional farming, increasing production capacity and reducing the hard work of farmers.
Deputy Director of Agriculture Una Dr. Kulbhushan Dhiman said that under this scheme, 5,291 farmers have been benefited in Una district in the last two years, on which about Rs 65 lakh has been spent. Subsidy was provided on various agricultural equipment to 2,995 farmers in the year 2023-24 and 2,296 farmers in the year 2024-25.
Dr. Dhiman says that equipment like power-driven fodder cutting machine, spray pump, brush cutter, water tub and seed bin are being made available to farmers at fixed subsidy rates. These equipment have simplified agricultural work for farmers, which has increased production and strengthened their economic condition.
At the same time, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal says that Chief Minister Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has special emphasis on connecting farmers with modern techniques and making farming a profitable business. As per his instructions, efforts are being made to provide the benefits of this scheme to as many farmers as possible in the district, so that there can be a continuous increase in the income of farmers.
