
The first Prakash of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm in Gurdwara Yadgar Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji.
Garhshankar, 2 April- The first Prakash of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was done today in the Gurdwara Sahib built here in the memory of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji, the great warrior of the Sikh sect. The form of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was brought from Gurdwara Bhai Tilku Ji Sahib of Garhshankar after touring the city with full enthusiasm by the Gurdwara Managing Committee and all the Sangats of the area.
Garhshankar, 2 April- The first Prakash of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was done today in the Gurdwara Sahib built here in the memory of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji, the great warrior of the Sikh sect. The form of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was brought from Gurdwara Bhai Tilku Ji Sahib of Garhshankar after touring the city with full enthusiasm by the Gurdwara Managing Committee and all the Sangats of the area.
Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji decorated in a palanquin was warmly welcomed by the Sangats with flower showers in various areas of Garhshankar city. Speaking on this occasion, Sardar Satpal Singh of the organizing committee congratulated all the Sangat on the occasion of the Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
He said that during his visit to Canada, he had taken the decision to build this Guru Ghar by taking guidance from the Gurudwara Sahib built there in the memory of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji. The Sangat from all over the region gave full support on which and today we have succeeded in building a beautiful Guru Ghar.
He said that in doing this work, the cooperation and blessings of Sant Baba Sucha Singh Ji Kar Seva Kila Sri Anandgarh Sahib and Sant Baba Satnam Singh Ji Kar Seva Wale Kila Anandgarh Sahib have been very valuable and great and this work has been possible only due to the blessings of these great men.
He said that no Guru Ghar was built in the memory of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur on the route from Sri Amritsar Sahib to Sri Anandpur Sahib, so he planned this work, in which the Sangat cooperated wholeheartedly. He said that we are proud that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was the first Patshah of the Sikh community and he left no stone unturned in uprooting the roots of oppression.
He said that the initiative of giving ownership rights of land to the farmers is the gift of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur. He said that many more works are to be done in the Guru Ghar and if anyone wants to cooperate in any way, he is welcome with open heart.
He said that the Managing Committee also has a plan to build a library and music school here and along with this a free dispensary is also being built. He said that there is also a plan to open a free tuition centre in the future.
