Basant Ritu Club planted shady trees at BN Khalsa School.

Patiala- Basant Ritu Yuva Club Tripuri Patiala in collaboration with Mera Yuva Bharat Sports Ministry Government of India organized Van Maha Utsav program at BN Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Mall Road, Patiala. The program was presided over by the Principal of the school Gurdish Singh and the chief guest was Shankar Lal Khurana Municipal Council, Ward No. 8, Tripuri Patiala. At the beginning of the program, Van Maha Utsav was inaugurated by planting a palm tree.

Basant Ritu Yuva Club President Engineer Akarsh Sharma and Founder Rajesh Sharma Ramatwali said in a joint statement that every year Basant Ritu Club organizes Van Maha Utsav from BN Khalsa School, Mall Road. He appealed to all the students of the school to plant as many trees as possible for environmental protection and also motivated the students to plant a tree on their and any member of their family's birthday.
Chief Guest Shankar Lal Khurana Municipal Councilor Ward No. 8 Tripuri Patiala said that he has been associated with the club for the last 30 years and the club has planted three lakh trees in 500 villages of 5 districts of Punjab by going from village to village and city to city and has spent about Rs 38 lakh on those trees, which is a unique and commendable work. Our society should contribute to saving the environment by joining such a club, so that we can save the deteriorating environment and create a clean environment for the coming generations by planting as many trees as possible.
School Principal Gurdish Singh also said in his views that Basant Ritu Club has been continuously starting Van Mahotsav from our school for the last 5 years and also inspires the students of our school to plant trees and save water and till now 150 trees have been planted in the school by the club.
On this occasion school teachers Pooja Sharma, Gurmeet Singh, Harjeet Kaur, Diljot Kaur, Jatinder Rani, Neelam Sharma, Jaswinder Kaur, Ashok Nasra, Abhinav Sharma, Santosh Lalwani, Mukesh Sharma, Meharwan Singh Mago, Dharminder Kumar, Tarsem Lal etc were present.
