
Products prepared by self-help groups will be sold through e-commerce,

Una, October 27 - Under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, about Rs 9 thousand crores have been spent by the Central Government so that women of rural areas can become self-reliant through collective efforts and live their lives with pride. Under these efforts of the government, many meaningful efforts are being made by rural women to increase their income by forming self-help groups. As a result, NRLM has proved to be a boon for the economic strengthening of women in rural areas. This information is given by Central Information and Broadcasting, Youth Programs and Sports Department Minister Anurag Singh Thakur while addressing about 200 women associated with self-help groups from different areas of the district under the self-reliant Nari Shakti Samvad program at the District Council Hall of the district headquarters Una.
Anurag Singh Thakur said that in the near future, the products prepared by the self-help groups will be made available on the e-commerce platform so that the sales of these products can be increased through online sales. He said that the Central Government has set a target of doubling the income of women associated with self-help groups by the end of the year 2025, for which many meaningful steps are being taken. He called upon the women to take special care of the high quality and packaging of the finished products so that their products can compete with the products of other brands available in the market. He praised the sweets and other products prepared by women using coarse grains and inspired them to organize and work on a large scale. In the program, women associated with self-help groups from different areas shared their experiences and gave valuable suggestions about solving the difficulties faced in their work areas through the government.
On this occasion, DRDA Una Project Officer Shefali Sharma and Atma Project Project Director Virendra Kumar Bagga gave detailed information about the schemes being run by the government through their departments.
In the programme, District Council Una Chairperson Neelam Kumari, Additional Deputy Commissioner Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar, SDM Una Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan, Block Development Officer Una KL Verma and officers and employees of various departments and about 100 people associated with various self-help groups of District Una were present. 200 women were present.
