Hoshiarpur:- Deputy Commissioner-cum-Head, District Red Cross Society Hoshiarpur Ashika Jain said that due to the recent floods in Punjab, crops, livestock, houses and public property have been damaged. In this difficult time, the district administration and Red Cross Society are working day and night to help the affected families.
She informed that Vardhman A&E Group has contributed Rs 6,50,000 to the District Red Cross Society for flood relief. This amount was presented to the Deputy Commissioner-cum-Head, District Red Cross Society by Director Finance and Administration Tarun Chawla and Chief Security Head Pradeep Dadwal.
Tarun Chawla said that out of this amount, Rs. 5,00,000 has been collected by the Vardhman A. & E. team and Rs. 1,50,000 has been given by the factory employees from their salaries. This shows that the entire organization and the employees are actively participating in social service.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that this assistance amount given by Vardhman A&E will be used to provide necessary help to the flood affected families. She also said that Vardhman A&E has always been at the forefront in serving the needy and this organization had also made a significant contribution during the flood of 2023.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Vardhman A&E and also appealed to other companies, factories, donors, industrialists, educational institutions and citizens of the district to also come forward and contribute to the relief of the flood victims.
