
Haryana City Cleanliness Campaign-2025 will make urban areas clean and beautiful.
Chandigarh, August 30-The Urban Local Government Department has prepared a detailed action plan under the Haryana City Cleanliness Campaign-2025 launched by Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini to make Haryana clean and beautiful. The aim of this campaign is to ensure a clean and healthy environment in urban areas, strengthen waste management, reduce the use of plastic and increase awareness about cleanliness among citizens.
Chandigarh, August 30-The Urban Local Government Department has prepared a detailed action plan under the Haryana City Cleanliness Campaign-2025 launched by Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini to make Haryana clean and beautiful. The aim of this campaign is to ensure a clean and healthy environment in urban areas, strengthen waste management, reduce the use of plastic and increase awareness about cleanliness among citizens.
While giving information, the spokesperson of the Urban Local Government Department said that under this campaign, cleanliness will be done by running cleanliness campaigns at government, private offices, tourist and religious places. Along with this, repair of roads, drains, maintenance of street lights and arrangement of high-rise signage on the roads will be ensured. Apart from this, along with 100% door-to-door waste collection, C&D dumping points, open areas and vacant plots will be cleaned.
The spokesperson said that to promote public participation, college and school students will be made aware of the cleanliness drive. Also, capacity building training programs will be organized for the members of Resident Welfare Associations, NGOs. Under Green and Clean Haryana, a campaign will be launched to plant trees in colonies, markets, schools, parks and roadsides and dustbins will be arranged in parks. Safai Mitra Vakthan will also be organized.
He said that public awareness programs will be run in cities especially on plastic ban. Taking special initiative, special centers will be set up in markets/mandis, where citizens will deposit plastic waste and in return, cloth bags and plants will be distributed to them.
The spokesperson said that under Haryana City Swachhta Abhiyan-2025, to make the cities free from stray animals, stray animals will be caught and sent to Gaushala/Nandishala. Apart from this, on the occasion of festivals like Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali, the municipal bodies will run special campaigns and clean the roads, markets and parks with public participation. The spokesperson said that cleanliness is the responsibility of every citizen, therefore, the residents of the state should actively participate in Haryana City Swachhta Abhiyan-2025 and help in making this campaign a success.
