Kapurthala (Paigam-E-Jagat) - The world famous organization of writers of the region, Sirjana Kendra (Regd.) Virsa Vihar Kapurthala, keeps organizing literary programs from time to time and after every two years a new team is formed by conducting unanimous and fair elections. On March 31, 2023, international poet Kanwar Iqbal Singh was unanimously elected President and poet Shahbaz Khan was elected General Secretary.
While Pradhan Kewal Singh Ratra, Secretary Ashu Kumara and Finance Secretary Malkit Singh Meet were appointed Senior Vice Presidents. This entire team organized very good literary programs for about two years. Kavi Darbar, Ghazal workshops and discussions on books were organized face to face with writers from India and abroad.
According to the constitution, on completion of two years of this team on 31 March 2025, the current President, General Secretary and other office bearers of Sirayan Center have decided to hold elections in the office of the center on 6 April 2025 at 10 am. All the office bearers and members associated with this organization are requested to reach on time.
