Giving information in this regard, Deputy Captain of Police Sub-Division Barnala, Satveer Singh, said that on July 21, the said woman Paramjit Kaur, wife of Kala Singh, a resident of Moradpur district, Patiala, was robbed by police chief Dhanula Lakhwinder Singh and his team. He has been arrested on charges of extortion.
He said that along with this, the Dhanula police have arrested four accused who beat up the youth and robbed him of his belongings a few days ago. DSP said that the police have arrested Sukhdeep Singh alias Sukhi, Gurmail Singh alias Vicky Aklian, Harpreet Singh resident of Bhaini Mehraj, Barinder Singh alias Tuda Roodeke Khurd named in the case. A case was registered by the police under section 379 B, 341, 323, 506, 148, 149 of the IPC in this case. He said that the looted goods (2 iPhones, 1 wallet including valuables) have been recovered from the arrested persons and the investigation of the matter is going on.
He said that the first case against Gurmail Singh alias Vicky Aklian at police station Sadar Barnala and two cases against Barinder Singh alias Tuda Rudeke Khurd at police station Rudeke Kalan.
