
Tricolor awareness rally taken out in Hansi under the Drug Free India Campaign.
Haryana/Hisar: Special public awareness programs are being organized till August 13, 2025 to mark the completion of five years of the Drug Free India Campaign run by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. In this series, a special Tricolor Youth Awareness Rally was organized from the Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School of Hansi subdivision on Thursday. The aim of the rally was to make more and more youth aware of the ill effects of drugs and spread the anti-drug message in the society.

In this series, a special Tricolor Youth Awareness Rally was organized from the Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School of Hansi subdivision on Thursday. The aim of the rally was to make more and more youth aware of the ill effects of drugs and spread the anti-drug message in the society.
The chief guest of the program was SDM Rajesh Khoth, who praised the rally and called upon the youth to keep themselves away from drugs and also spread awareness in the society for drug eradication. He said that drug addiction is a mental illness and people suffering from it need treatment. We should support them, not despise them.
District Sukun Counselor and Master Volunteer of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Rahul Sharma said that since the year 2021, he has run more than 400 drug eradication programs in collaboration with the district administration. He appealed to the youth not to let the sacrifice of the patriots go in vain and contribute to making India drug free. The awareness rally was flagged off.
On this occasion, SHO Sunil Kumar handled the traffic and security arrangements, while refreshments for the children were arranged by Vishwas Nasha Mukti Kendra. In the program, the children were administered the oath of not taking drugs by Principal Rajesh Bhadana.
Dharamveer Panu and Mahendra Lakhan from the Social Welfare Department said that as per the instructions of the Ministry, awareness rallies are being organized in every sub-division, school, college and villages so that the youth can be kept away from drugs and drug victims can be given treatment. More than 300 students participated in the rally.
On this occasion, NSS in-charge Sanjay Rana, Kuldeep, Sukhbir, Devendra, Balwan Singh, Ashok Kumar, Rajesh Sharma, Sandeep Kumar, Arogya Bharti Hansi and Vishwas de-addiction centre members were specially present.
