
Historic battle to eradicate drug menace from Punjab, special anti-drug curriculum for students launched: MLA Randhawa.

Under this initiative, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa today attended the camp organized in Baltana 7,8,31, and wards 6,8,9,10,11,12 in Pirmuchla and appreciated the efforts of the government.
He said that the objective of the awareness camps organized by the Punjab government is to make people aware about the dangers of drugs and provide resources to people struggling with drugs. These camps are being organized across the state and include informative sessions, interactive activities and counseling services.
On this occasion, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa lauded the efforts of the government and stressed the importance of addressing the issue of drugs. He said, "It is commendable that the government is taking this important step to fight against drug addiction. We all should work together to create a healthy and safe environment to end this problem." He said that while the government is running this awareness campaign, now the government has taken an important step.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, a special anti-drug curriculum has been started in the state from today for students of classes 9 to 12. This initiative is part of the "Ward Against Drugs" campaign which aims to keep students away from drugs and empower them to take good decisions. This course has been prepared by the team of Nobel laureate Professor Abhijit Banerjee.
It has been implemented in all government schools of Punjab from August 1, 2025. MLA Randhawa said that this course has been prepared in a scientific and practical manner, so that students can remove misconceptions related to drug addiction and take right decisions in their lives.
