New Delhi- Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday claimed that why Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not take the name of US President Donald Trump in the context of claims of mediation for a ceasefire, because he knows that if he does so, Trump will put the whole truth in front.
Talking to reporters in the Parliament complex, Rahul Gandhi said that everyone knows what has happened. The former Congress president said, "The Prime Minister did not say that Trump is lying. Everyone knows what has happened. He is not able to speak, this is the reality. If the Prime Minister speaks, he (Trump) will speak openly and will put the whole truth in front. That is why (Modi) is not speaking." Gandhi said, "Right now he (Trump) wants a trade agreement. There (Trump) will press. You will see what kind of trade agreement is reached.'' Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, while talking to reporters, alleged that the Prime Minister and the External Affairs Minister have spoken in a roundabout way. She said, ''The Prime Minister should directly say that the US President has lied.''
