Balachaur- Kritika Goyal, a 2023 batch officer of the Indian Administrative Services, took charge as Sub-Divisional Magistrate here today and said that providing civic services to the people in a more efficient manner, extending the benefits of welfare schemes to the ground level and doing administrative work in a better manner will be her priority.
SDM Kritika Goyal said that efforts will be made to implement the war against drugs launched by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann in a more effective manner and the younger generation will be made aware of the ill effects of drugs.
She said that special attention will also be paid to the education and health sectors and necessary facilities will be provided to the people. IAS Kritika Goyal, who belongs to Sangrur district of Punjab, has served as Assistant Commissioner in Ludhiana before taking charge as SDM. She said that special attention will also be given to the time-bound resolution of public issues and completion of daily tasks of the people in the shortest possible time.
It is worth mentioning that IAS Kritika Goyal's husband Ayush Goyal is also an IAS officer of the 2023 batch and he was also present when she assumed office. SDM Goyal's father is a retired judge and mother is a retired teacher while her brother is an IPS officer.
