Brotherhood and Unity Exemplified: The 5th State-Level Honor Ceremony Organized by Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh Haryana in Nuh

Nuh/Chandigarh, July 21, 2025- The Nuh district unit of Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh Haryana organized the fifth state-level journalist honor ceremony at Sardar Gurmukh Singh Memorial School, Nuh, to honor journalists. This grand event saw the participation of hundreds of journalists from various districts of Haryana, who were honored for their outstanding contributions to journalism. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Indu Bansal, the founder and state president of Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh Haryana, under whose leadership the event became a symbol of brotherhood and unity.

Nuh/Chandigarh, July 21, 2025- The Nuh district unit of Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh Haryana organized the fifth state-level journalist honor ceremony at Sardar Gurmukh Singh Memorial School, Nuh, to honor journalists. This grand event saw the participation of hundreds of journalists from various districts of Haryana, who were honored for their outstanding contributions to journalism. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Indu Bansal, the founder and state president of Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh Haryana, under whose leadership the event became a symbol of brotherhood and unity. 
Several distinguished personalities attended the ceremony, including senior BJP leader and Nuh district president Surendra Singh alias Pintu, Sardar G.S. Malik, chairman of Sardar Gurmukh Singh Memorial School, SMO Nuh Kapil Dev, DSP Headquarters Nuh Harendra Singh, Nuh City Police Station In-Charge Naresh Kumar, and Nuh Women’s Police Station In-Charge Manju. Additionally, prominent figures from the executive, legislature, judiciary, and media were present. Journalists from across the state were honored with a ceremonial scarf, memento, certificate of appreciation, and a pen, making the event even more special. 
All the guests present at the honor ceremony encouraged the journalists and assured them of every possible support in resolving their issues. Nuh BJP district president Surendra Singh stated that Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh Haryana is genuinely working for the welfare of journalists. He assured that he would soon meet Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini to apprise him of the journalists’ issues. He praised the policies of the Sangh and pledged his continued support. 
On this occasion, his wife, Usha Singh, former chairperson of Hansla, Nuh, was also present, adding to the grandeur of the event. Prominent social worker and chairman of Sardar Gurmukh Singh Memorial School, Nuh, Sardar G.S. Malik, promised to stand shoulder to shoulder with Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh in addressing journalists’ issues after listening to their concerns. He stated that the organization is committed to protecting journalists’ interests and that he would advocate for them with the Haryana government. 
He further said that whenever the Sangh requires his services, he would assist with dedication. This event was the fifth state-level honor ceremony organized by Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh Haryana. The Sangh has organized several noteworthy events in a short span of time. On January 5, 2025, the first honor ceremony in Karnal recognized over 250 journalists. Subsequently, on May 18, 2025, the second ceremony was held in Palwal on the occasion of Narad Jayanti, honoring over 100 journalists. 
On June 22, 2025, the third ceremony in Farrukhnagar (Pataudi), Gurugram, awarded the Kalam Shri Award to 120 journalists. Last month, on June 29, 2025, the fourth ceremony in Rewari honored hundreds of journalists. In just eight months, the Sangh has demonstrated its commitment and activity by organizing its fifth state-level honor ceremony. Dr. Indu Bansal, in her address, stated that Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh operates on the principle of “Not I, but We.” 
She emphasized that the organization is dedicated to the rights and safety of journalists. She strongly raised the long-pending demands of journalists, which include implementing a journalist protection law on the lines of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, introducing a cashless insurance scheme for journalists and their families similar to Punjab, providing free education to journalists’ children as in Rajasthan, offering free or subsidized residential houses or plots for journalists’ families, including journalists in the free toll policy, and renaming the Journalist Pension Scheme to Journalist Honor Fund Scheme while simplifying its regulations. 
Dr. Bansal stated that the Sangh has been consistently raising these demands through various programs and platforms, including informing the Chief Minister and relevant ministers via social media. She said this process is being followed to ensure the government cannot claim ignorance of journalists’ issues. She also announced that the Sangh would soon meet senior government officials and ministers to submit demand letters at the district and state levels. 
The event was attended by Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh Haryana’s state vice-president Rajendra Kem, state spokesperson Naveen Bansal, Nuh district unit president Naresh Mehandiratta, Pataudi unit president Naresh Sharma, Rewari district unit president Dhanesh Vidyarthi, Palwal unit president Bhushan Ohliyan, and senior Nuh journalists Ved Adlakha, Tahir Hussain, Sonu Verma, Ashish Goyal, Rajiv Prajapati, Anil Mohania, Surendra Mathur, Dinesh Deshwal, Abhay Singh Saini, Rakesh Verma, Aslam, Manju Lata, Gurudutt Bhardwaj, Lalit Garg, Arshad Bisru, Pradeep Kumar, Mushtaki Khan, Yogesh Garg, Manish Goyal, Kaushal Singla, Shyam Sundar Soni, Ramesh Sharma, Sanyam Mehandiratta, Gagan Nagpal, Azad Mohammad, Zahir, Deepak, and other distinguished individuals. The event emerged as a symbol of unity among journalists and their struggle for their rights.
