Una, July 14- A delegation of Shri Guru Ravidas Dharmik Sabha Santoshgarh met Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Caste Commission Chairman Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman in his office today (Monday). The delegation, led by Sabha Chairman Balwant Singh, submitted a memorandum to the Commission Chairman and placed before him various important demands related to the Scheduled Caste category.
The demands of Shri Guru Ravidas Dharmik Sabha include registration of newly purchased land without agricultural certificate of people of Scheduled Caste society, construction of Ambedkar Bhawan in Municipal Council Santoshgarh, issuance of SC-ST sub plan in Himachal Pradesh, government should provide land to the landless or those who have one or two room house and those who got land on lease years ago, their names should be registered in the revenue records.
SC Commission Chairman Kuldeep Dhiman listened to all the demands of the delegation sympathetically and termed them extremely necessary for social harmony and inclusive development in the state. He assured that the commission will take all these issues seriously and raise them effectively before the state government. He said that the Scheduled Caste Commission is committed to protecting the rights of the deprived sections of the state and their social progress and for this, a concrete action plan is being followed.
On this occasion, commission members Advocate Digvijay Malhotra and Advocate Vijay Dogra and Member Secretary Vinay Modi were present. The delegation included Shri Guru Ravidas Jod Mela Committee Chairman Balwant Singh, Santoshgarh Guru Ravidas Mandir Committee Head Advocate Kulwinder Singh Bains, Vice President Vachan Chand Patel and other members of the Sabha.
