
Punjab cabinet approves filling up of 484 posts in health department, approves visiting faculty in schools
Chandigarh, August 28 In an important meeting of the Punjab Cabinet held today at Chandigarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, approval was given to fill up the posts in various departments. Many other important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting.
Chandigarh, August 28 In an important meeting of the Punjab Cabinet held today at Chandigarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, approval was given to fill up the posts in various departments. Many other important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting. Giving information about the decisions taken in the meeting, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that according to the decision taken in the meeting, the discretionary quota of the Chief Minister and Ministers has been cut. He said that the discretionary quota of the Chief Minister has been reduced from 50 crores to 37 crores and that of ministers has been reduced from one and a half crores to 1 crores. He said that approval was given to fill up 20 posts for administrative reforms. The issue of early release of 5 prisoners came up in the meeting, out of which 4 prisoners were approved for early release, while the release of one prisoner was not approved.
