Mohali, June 30 – The Punjab Vigilance Bureau team left for Mohali with senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia, who was arrested in the disproportionate assets case, early this morning under tight security arrangements. The Vigilance team was travelling in several vehicles.
It is a mystery as to where the Vigilance team went to take Majithia and no Vigilance officer is ready to say anything about it. It is being speculated that Majithia may be taken to some places in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
It is also worth mentioning here that in the Majithia case, former DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay, former ED officer Niranjan Singh, former Akali MLA Amarpal Singh Bonnie Ajnala and Majithia's former PA Talvir Gill have also recorded their statements with the Vigilance Bureau.
