Ludhiana- Senior journalist Sanjeev Kumar today met Ludhiana ADC (General) Shri Rohit Gupta and discussed in detail the preparations for the Ludhiana West assembly elections.
Meanwhile, Rohit Gupta said that the district administration is fully engaged in continuous preparations to conduct the recent elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
"Under the visionary and effective leadership of Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, all the departments are working in complete coordination with each other," Rohit Gupta said. "Be it voter awareness, training of polling staff or security arrangements - every aspect is being monitored vigilantly. Our priority is to maintain the sanctity of the democratic process."
He also informed that various facilities have been arranged especially for the differently-abled voters, senior citizens and first-time voters. All the polling booths are being equipped with necessary facilities and strong arrangements have been made to deal with any untoward situation on the election day.
Sanjeev Kumar, while praising the preparations of the administration, expressed confidence that the elections in Ludhiana will be conducted smoothly and peacefully. He also said that the role of the media is very important in maintaining voter awareness and transparency.
The meeting ended with the assurance of mutual cooperation from the administration and the media, so that this festival of democracy can be celebrated successfully in Ludhiana West.
