
15 years of wait are over: MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa inaugurates the construction work of the bridge at Boothgarh Chow.
Hoshiarpur- Following the developmental thinking of the Punjab government, today was a historic day when MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa started the construction work of the bridge to be built at Boothgarh Chow, which has been pending for 15 years. This bridge will be prepared at a cost of Rs 2.35 crore, which will provide great relief to the residents of the area.
Hoshiarpur- Following the developmental thinking of the Punjab government, today was a historic day when MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa started the construction work of the bridge to be built at Boothgarh Chow, which has been pending for 15 years. This bridge will be prepared at a cost of Rs 2.35 crore, which will provide great relief to the residents of the area.
During the inauguration ceremony, MLA Jimpa said that the demand for this bridge was being made for the last one and a half decades, but the previous governments never paid attention to it. He said that these governments only made promises, but the Aam Aadmi Party government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann turned this promise into reality.
He said that this bridge is being built in the memory of 108 Sant Tulsi Nath Maharaj. Jimpa said that the construction of the bridge will not only benefit Boothgarh village, but also directly benefit the people of a total of 15 nearby villages including Chhauni Kalan, Dholanwal, Bilaspur, Bohan, Patti, Chaggaran, Camp, Kila Brun, Nograman, Chabbewal etc. Ease of transportation will also give impetus to the economic, social and educational development of the area.
He also said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is working in the interests of the people and priority is being given to those development works that are required in the ground reality. He said that on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, work is going on on dozens of roads, bridges and other people-friendly projects in Hoshiarpur assembly constituency. Work on drinking water schemes, sewage projects etc. is also in full swing.
He said that the roads connected to the bridge will also be repaired immediately so that the people do not face any kind of problem.
On this occasion, the local people thanked MLA Jimpa and said that the problem of years has been solved and this is a big relief for them. The villagers said that during the rains, transportation used to be difficult here. Mayor Surinder Kumar, Sarpanch Boothgarh Satnam Singh, Tajinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Jatinder Singh, Navjot Singh, Simran Singh, Sumitra Devi, Gurdev Chand, Jasvir Kaur, Sodhi Ram, Kuljit Kaur, Bakshish Ram, Kashmira Singh, Sarabjit Kaur, Jagdeep Singh Sarpanch, Mohan Lal, Surjit Pal Singh, Surjit Singh Dhami, Surinder Kumar Mand, Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pritpal, Hardial Singh, Pargat Singh, Karnail Singh etc. were also present on this occasion.
