
SAS Nagar gets first position in ACP achievement in Punjab State -ADC Sonam Chaudhary.
SAS Nagar, June 6: District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting was convened today by Punjab National Bank, Lead Bank Office, SAS Nagar at District Administrative Complex, SAS Nagar to review the progress of banks for the quarter ending March 2025 in which District Coordinators of all the banks in the district and all concerned departments participated. The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) SAS Nagar Smt. Sonam Chaudhary.

The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) SAS Nagar Smt. Sonam Chaudhary.
ADC (D) Smt. Sonam Chaudhary first of all congratulated the bankers for securing first position in the State of Punjab with remarkable achievement of 110% of their ACP targets for the financial year ending 31.03.2025. She advised the banks to continue this momentum in the coming year as well.
He reviewed the progress of all banks for FY 2024-25 under Annual Credit Plan 2024-25 and asked the bankers to take a proactive and empathetic approach towards pending applications under all Government Sponsored Schemes.
He said that mission mode approach is required from the banker fraternity to achieve district targets in enrolment under various social security schemes. He also directed all bankers to ensure disposal of all applications received under Government Sponsored Schemes on top priority basis.
Shri Pankaj Anand DGM (Circle Head) Punjab National Bank welcomed ADC (D) Ms Sonam Choudhary and other officials of RBI and NABARD. He asked the banks to improve their performance in all important areas of priority sector as per the parameters of Government of India. He also emphasized on maintaining minimum level of CD ratio by all banks.
Shri Deepak Singla of Reserve Bank of India advised banks to focus more on 100% digitization in savings and current account segment. He also said that bank branches should ensure strict adherence to RBI guidelines. He also focused on increasing financial literacy and digital awareness among rural people.
Ms. Anchal Sharma DDM NABARD also expressed her concern over low achievement of some banks in agriculture sector.
State Director RSETI Mr. Upkar Singh, Director RSETI Amandeep Singh, District Coordinators, officers of all departments were present in the meeting.
M.K. Bhardwaj Chief LDM informed that the district has achieved Annual Credit Plan (ACP) targets with 110% achievement and secured first position in the entire State of Punjab. He congratulated all the banks for their achievement. Credit Deposit (CD) ratio is 104% against national target of 60%. All banks were advised to enroll maximum applicants under various schemes of Government of India.
M K Bhardwaj also urged the private sector banks to pay special attention to the social security schemes launched by the government like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana. M K Bhardwaj discussed the pendency of all the sponsored cases. The banks were requested to clear all the applications of AIF scheme on a regular basis.
Shri Bhardwaj thanked the ADC for his valuable guidance and assured the district administration that the banks will put in their best efforts for the smooth implementation of all the government schemes and will achieve all the priority sector targets in the district in the coming financial year too.
