The statue of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was again insulted in village Nangal of Phillaur, there is a wave of anger not only in Phillaur but in the whole of Punjab. In Patiala too, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Welfare Society burnt the effigy of Gurpatwant Pannu and on this occasion, SC community leaders Naresh Kumar Bobby, Sonu Sanger, Rajesh Ghaaru, Shablu Mattoo President Dhiru Nagar, Happy Lot Vice President, Sanjeev Kumar MC, Jatinder Kumar Prince, Sagar Dhariwal MC, Ram Chandra Tang, Pankaj Adiwal, Pawan Bhumak, Arun Dhariwal said during their address that all these communities should unite and give a befitting reply to such dishonest people.
Whoever is found tampering with the statue of Baba Saheb should be punished and we all need to protect the statue of Baba Saheb ji and have demanded from the Punjab government that these people should be caught and brought to jail soon otherwise the struggle will be intensified.
On this occasion, Dr. Gurvinder Kansal, a member of the monitoring committee of the society, has said that the vandalism done with the statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar in Phillaur is highly condemnable and this has created a feeling of anger in all sections because Baba Saheb had written the Constitution keeping every section in mind and some time ago this incident happened in Phillaur and now this incident shows the failure of the Punjab government.
Kansal has also said that we are all united against those who insult Baba Saheb and those who do this will not be spared. Governor Ish Kumar, Veena Paroche, Chandan Kalyan, Lucky Sanger, Vijay Shah, Jatin Proche etc. were present on this occasion.
