Hoshiarpur- Punjab Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh said that the fire station will soon be set up at a suitable and open space in the congested area of ??the city. While hearing the problems of the people at his local office, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh said that the people's issues will be resolved on full priority basis.
He said that since the fire station was located in the inner part of the city, there was often difficulty during emergencies, in view of which a suitable place was being identified. He said that a new fire station will be set up at an open space at a cost of about Rs 2.50 crore. Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is continuously making efforts for the all-round development of every sector.
He said that apart from education and health sector, employment opportunities are being provided to the youth in Punjab. Dr. Ravjot said that the Punjab government is continuously making efforts for the cleanliness of the cities of the state and proper sewerage system, under which recently Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has provided machinery worth Rs. 14.30 crore to further improve the cleaning of sewer lines in 7 districts.
He said that 730 machines have been purchased at a cost of Rs. 40 crore for cleaning in various cities of the state, with which cleaning in the cities will be done in a state-of-the-art manner. He said that with the arrival of new machinery, the employees will not have to go down into the manhole for cleaning the sewerage and they are being trained to clean the sewerage with machines.
He said that in the coming days, various works related to the Local Government Department in Hoshiarpur district will be approved and work will be started on them.
