SAS Nagar, June 26 - During the construction of the main road separating Phase 4 and 5, the road from HM Quarters in Phase 4 to PTL Lights was scrapped and left in the same condition by the road construction contractor. Two-wheeler riders are facing problems and minor accidents are also taking place on this road.
A woman from Phase 4 fell down after her scooty slipped on this road and got injured. This woman named Meenakshi told that she had gone to a departmental store in the market of Phase 5 on her scooty to buy household items. While returning, after turning from PTL Lights, she slipped on the damaged road due to the scrapping of this road and fell and met with an accident.
she said that she has fractures in one of her knees and one of her arms, due to which he will have to remain in bed for the next one month. she said that this accident happened to her due to the negligence of the Municipal Corporation officials and the corporation officials should take action against the contractor who left this road in a rough condition and also complete the road work immediately so that no one else like her falls and gets injured.
Resident of Phase 4 and social worker Karan Johar has demanded that action should be taken against the concerned employees of the Municipal Corporation who were negligent in this matter and along with this, the woman who became the victim of the accident should be given proper compensation.
When a call was made to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner's office to contact him in this regard, the woman who picked up the phone said that sir is busy. Therefore, contact could not be established with him.
