
High blood pressure awareness drama organized at Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur.
Hoshiarpur- As per the instructions of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra, High Blood Pressure Awareness Month is being celebrated by organizing various activities across the district. Under this, a drama was played today at Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur by the students of Mata Gujri Nursing College under the leadership of Senior Medical Officer Incharge Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur Dr. Swati Shinhmar to create awareness about high blood pressure.

Under this, a drama was played today at Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur by the students of Mata Gujri Nursing College under the leadership of Senior Medical Officer Incharge Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur Dr. Swati Shinhmar to create awareness about high blood pressure.
In which District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Ranjit Singh was specially present. On this occasion, Deputy Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur, Matron Manjit Kaur, Nursing Sister Paramjit Kaur, ICN Harpreet Kaur and NCD Staff Nurse Kirandeep Kaur participated. Through the drama, the students made the patients coming to the hospital aware about the causes of high blood pressure and the steps to be taken to prevent it.
Speaking during this, Dr. Ranjit Singh said that our aim of conveying information to you through this drama is to make people aware about the correct measurement of their blood pressure, because more than 30 percent of the world's population suffers from high blood pressure, due to which the number of patients of heart disease, kidney failure and stroke is constantly increasing.
He said that chest pain, dizziness, vomiting, fatigue, headache or dizziness, difficulty in breathing, adverse effects on the eyes and sweating are the symptoms of high blood pressure. Accumulation of fat in blood vessels, kidney diseases, heart disease, paralysis and eye diseases etc. are the diseases caused by high blood pressure. Dr. Swati said that the onset of the disease and its symptoms are not easily detected, but its prevention is possible with timely detection and treatment. Fried or high salt food, old age, intoxication, obesity, lack of exercise and mental stress are the main causes of high blood pressure.
By changing our lifestyle, we can protect ourselves from other non-communicable diseases like blood pressure. Salt and fried foods should be consumed less and tobacco and alcohol should be avoided. Weight gain should be avoided, fat intake should be reduced and more vegetables and fruits should be consumed. For treatment and control, it is important to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Along with this, regular medical checkups and medicines should be taken.
